The Western Australian government has introduced mandatory face mask requirements for regions throughout the state. Three levels of COVID-safe measures - Baseline, Level 1, and Level 2 - have been implemented across WA accordingly and the associated face mask mandates are outlined below.
Baseline measures: Kimberley, Gascoyne, Mid West, and Goldfields-Esperance
Masks are required for people aged 12 years and over everywhere indoors, other than in the home, and for Year 7 and above in schools, and unless an exemption applies.
Level 1 measures: Perth, Peel, South West, Wheatbelt, Great Southern, and Pilbara
Masks are required for people aged 12 years and over everywhere indoors, other than in the home, and unless an exemption applies.
Level 2 measures
Masks are required for people aged 8 years and over (year 3 and over for schools) everywhere indoors, other than in the home, and unless an exemption applies.
